Hospice Lottery Proposal
If you are a fundraising manager for a hospice, you may find the information below useful.
Expected Profit
Your profit will depend upon how many players you recruit and the prizes you offer. A hospice with 4,000 supporters playing their lottery can expect to make over £100k per year. A smaller hospice with 500 supporters could make £13k per year through our Unity Lottery scheme.
Run your own Lottery
This would involve you marketing the lottery to your supporters, corporate supporters and members of the local community. You would have your own prize fund meaning your supporters would have an equal chance of winning one of the guaranteed prizes. The fact that you are guaranteed to have winners each week is a good marketing and recruitment tool.
This type of lottery is administered using our Lottery Admin Service. We would look after all of the routine administration associated with the running of your lottery, leaving you free to concentrate on the marketing and promotion of your lottery.

Run a Unity Lottery
This is a good option to choose if you are unsure of how your supporter base will respond to the idea of joining a lottery. You can change over to running your own lottery through our Lottery Admin Service at any time.
Unity Lottery is a lottery scheme which enables fundraising organisations to join together and benefit from economies of scale by joining with other organisations to provide an attractive prize fund. For every £1 paid by your lottery players you will receive 50p back as profit. The remaining 50p goes towards the prize fund, administration and tax costs.
