Dementia UK set up and launched their first weekly lottery with our risk-free and fully-branded Unity Bespoke platform.

Using the Unity Bespoke platform, Dementia UK acquired over 450 active players in the first month, with over 600 entries. The success and rapid growth of the lottery was achieved through regular meetings and consistent communication during every step of the process, along with Dementia’s commitment to effective promotion.

Dementia UK were looking for:

  • A hands-on ELM with a client-centric ethos, who would be able to assist with new routes to the market and encourage substantial growth, which Sterling demonstrated
  • A mindful approach to potentially vulnerable supporters such as implementing effective policies to spot and look after vulnerable supporters during the day-to-day running of the lottery
  • A standalone experience for their players without the potential risks of a standalone lottery
  • User-friendly methods for players to join the lottery
  • A range of creative branding to keep players engaged
  • Branded stewardship communications to keep players informed

Keys to success

We created a branded sign-up form for Dementia UK to provide a smooth and simple sign-up journey for players. The promotion journey began by soft launching internally, and Dementia UK’s tracking showed that 70% of players were acquired through the bespoke form.

With the Unity platform, Dementia UK benefit from receiving a guaranteed minimum 50% profit from their lottery proceeds without needing to worry about overheads, the portion retained covers all prizes and administration taken care of by us. As Dementia UK opted for Unity Bespoke, we fully brand their player communications, and provide a specialised hotline answered in their name. As part of Unity Bespoke, we also built a personalised microsite to provide a place for players to find information about the lottery, including winning numbers, draw dates, game rules and how the lottery helps Dementia UK’s cause. Tracking was also installed onto the microsite to provide insights into lottery website participation habits.
